The final drive for the AIRMAN AX35 excavator is a hydraulic motor and planetary gearbox combination that delivers torque to the track drive sprocket
The final drive system is located on each side of the excavator and is responsible for driving the tracks to move the machine.
The hydraulic motor is a variable displacement axial piston motor that is capable of delivering a maximum displacement of 80 cc/rev. It operates with a maximum pressure of 35 MPa and has a maximum speed of 2,000 rpm. The hydraulic motor is connected to the planetary gearbox via a spline shaft.
The planetary gearbox is a two-stage reduction gearbox that is capable of reducing the input speed from the hydraulic motor and increasing the output torque to the track drive sprocket. The first stage of the gearbox has a reduction ratio of 3.824:1, while the second stage has a reduction ratio of 3.824:1. The final reduction ratio of the gearbox is 13.5:1, which is the ratio between the hydraulic motor and the track drive sprocket.
The track drive sprocket is the final component of the final drive system and is responsible for driving the track. The sprocket has a maximum speed of 3.5 km/h and a maximum torque of 18,225 Nm. It is connected to the planetary gearbox via a hub that is bolted onto the final output flange of the gearbox.
The entire final drive system is designed to work in conjunction with the hydraulic system of the AIRMAN AX35 excavator
The hydraulic system supplies the necessary fluid pressure and flow to the hydraulic motor, which in turn drives the planetary gearbox and the track drive sprocket.
